Who We Are

Across the world, billions of people live outside the protection of the law; a life punctuated with several justice problems related to property, employment, gender-based violence, expression, health, among others. While the aspiration to realize a just and equitable world dominates the contemporary development agenda, access to justice remains one of the most persistent justice issues in the world. Uganda is no exception to this phenomenon. Legal Hub Uganda was conceptualized to offer innovative and pragmatic solutions to the millions of justice seekers in the country. We exist to ensure indiscriminate access to justice, not only as a right, but also as a vehicle for defending other rights.

Legal Hub Uganda envisions a Uganda where justice is a reality for all while our Mission is to enhance access to justice for all through the provision of innovative legal aid services. Our aspirations are buttressed by four objectives, namely:

  • To increase citizen’s appreciation and application of the law in Uganda
  • To provide free legal services to vulnerable individuals and groups
  • To advocate for pro-people and innovative laws and policies on justice and human rights
  • To promote good governance, rule of law and respect for human rights
